Title - Five time saving work tips
Some pointers that I've got are:
1. Prepare in advance
2. Wake up earlier
3. Plan your day
4. Ask questions
5. Find uninterrupted time
On Prepare in advance
- Are you always forgetting items or getting dressed in a hurry in the morning? Avoid leaving things until the last minute.
On Wake up earlier
- Sleep early, and wake up 10 minutes earlier to give yourself a slight buffer. Waking up earlier boosts your mental alertness and puts you in a better mood because you feel less stressed about being late.
On Plan your day
- Think about what the day holds in store for you in the morning before you reach the office. If you have a long work commute, think about what you need to do for the day on the bus or train so you know better what to expect.
On Ask questions
- When faced with a challenging assignment, get a clear picture of what you need to do before starting. This prevents you from doing the assignment wrongly, which is what may happen when you rush into a task before you understand what is required.
On Find uninterrupted time
- If you are constantly being interrupted at work, find other ways to complete your assignments on time. If your office is noisy, work on your laptop in a meeting room during lunch, or refrain from checking your email or chatting with your colleagues until you have completed your tasks.
